In Greensboro, the best-known bakeries and bagel shops have lines on weekend mornings, so arrive early or order ahead where the shop offers it. Across North Carolina, immigrant bakeries add Mexican pan dulce, Vietnamese banh mi bread, Chinese buns, Middle Eastern sweets and European rye to the mix, and many gluten-free and vegan bakeries have opened in larger cities. Check the listing for hours, whether the shop accepts custom cake orders and its Google rating before you go, and call about allergens, since small kitchens often share equipment. Everything I've had here is wonderful. I'm glad they decided to move to Greensboro. They have a wide assortment of cookies, pastries, cakes, coffee, everything! Couldn't recommend them enough! Everyone was extremely kind and the owner is super sweet!

My husband brought home treats from Rocca’s Bakery, and I honestly do not think adjectives exist to adequately describe how phenomenal this bakery is. Everything we tried was exceptional. The vanilla cupcake, chocolate cupcake, brownie, and quiches were all beautifully made, rich, fresh, and memorable. The best way I can describe it is that I experienced a beautiful symphony in my mouth. Every bite felt thoughtful and perfectly balanced. My husband also commented on the warmth and kindness of everyone he had the pleasure of meeting. We will absolutely be back because now I need to try everything.

I stopped in to check out the pastry selection at Rocca's the other day. I was very impressed with the options that they have! I opted to grab a variety to include a cream pie, a pecan bar, a death by chocolate brownie, and a lemon bar. Every single pastry was delicious! I'm a self proclaimed chocoholic, so I was surprised to find my favorites ended up being the pecan bar and the lemon bar. Don't get me wrong the brownie was amazing too! I love that Rocca's is not only a bakery, but they are also a coffee shop that sells ice cream. On Saturdays they sell freshly baked bread too! I can't wait to come back to grab some of their bread this weekend and of course more pastries! Highly recommend this new bakery.

(4.5 stars) The new Greensboro outpost of a Ramseur bakery, Rocca's boasts an impressive selection of Italian and French pastries, friendly staff, and prices that aren't as high as you would expect. I stopped by after they had been open for about two weeks and was impressed by the sheer number of offerings: breads, cookies, cupcakes, pastries, cheesecakes, quiches, coffee, tea, and more. The employee on duty was patient and helpfully explained a few baked goods I hadn't encountered before (Kouign-amann will have to happen during a future visit). I ultimately settled on a peanut butter-banana coffee cake and a chocolate croissant. The croissant was buttery but dense rather than light and flaky. That density extended to the coffee cake as well, where it was more welcome. The peanut butter-banana combo made for a winning pair, and the topping was tasty as well. Given the pricing, service, availability (open every day except Sunday), and more, Rocca's is a must for anyone in Greensboro with a sweet tooth.

I had the best dirty chai latte I have ever had here. The people are extremely friendly. It is a lovely space and I plan on coming back for their coffee and tea selection. They do offer plant based milk, which is a huge plus for me as a vegan.
